Mar 20, 2016· I don't need two nearly identical surface grinders so I'm going to let one go. It is a DoAll D8 hydraulic surface grinder. It has an 8 x 24" magnetic chuck with controller. The machine as I received it is wired for 220V 3ph but I think the chuck would benefit from a transformer. All the motors are dual voltage but I don't think the chuck is.

Mar 08, 2013· I'll be moving forward with stripping and de-rusting the table, saddle, and all the dust shields, brackets etc. Once all that is done reassemble the machine and tackle draining and cleaning out the tank and figure out a filter solution for the tank. Jun 13, 2013· I didn't get any pics of the next step but it wasn't without a trip up Reinstalled the end of the tank with gasket, no problems there. Re-wired up the machine and the cord, no problems there. Added 5 gallons of hydraulic fluid, no problems there.
Mar 23, 2010· Hello, last year I picked up a seemingly nice DoAll D6-1 surface grinder. Serial #39-631221 Which if I'm reading the parts manual right makes this 1963 machine only 5 machines older than the last one of the model. Just ran power to it, but haven't tried to run anything until I go over it and fix and check the necessary stuff.
